oh, optimistic me.:)

im procrastinating with this account of wat happened in bangkok. but i have been really busy so im just starting to get down to it.i have to write it somemwhere before i forget.haha.i dont mean to be all fangirlish but! all incidences are true and after making my few thousand miles to bangkok, how can i not be a little crazy right?right.:)

there's Angel, my sister, Jasmine and i on this 4 day trip and it's one hectic holiday. so hectic i dont even noe if i can consider it a "holiday".
we arrived on 27th feb, friday morning at 8.30am, bangkok time.which means, our flight was at 7.15am from Singapore.and yes, i didnt sleep at all before checking in at the airport. only for that 2hours worth flying.(this fact plays a very big part of this "holiday".bcos i never really recovered from the fatigue.)

so we checked into our hotel, which is the same one that 2PM and WG were staying in, put our luggage and received news from our Thai friends that the boys are leaving the hotel in a little while to go for a 12pm event at Dusit Thani. so even before we could decide wat to eat, we were already strategising how we can see the boys leave the hotel. it was only 10+am so we decided to have a quick brunch and come back to see them at the lobby.basically our hotel has the main check-in area/lobby on the second floor and an escalator that leads to and fro from the ground floor where the bar and the main entrance of the hotel is. quite a number of fans were on the ground floor waiting (actually they were there throughout the 3 days) and so we decided to stay at the lobby, where we can see them come out directly from the lift.

we waited for about half an hour and we finally see them!they were all dressed in their 10cheom outfits and with lotsa make up. it happened kinda quick, so the first person i saw was the tall maknae and taekyeon.they're all tall.-_-.but this very striking face came past too....Khun!he was really nice to Angel and waved to her when she waved at him.the rest of them was a blur till wooyoung came!it became instinct for him to bow and greet us in the Thai way(u noe, with 2 straight palms placed together and bowing abit).we wanted him to know we came all the way from Singapore though.haha.so that was the end of our first meeting with them.we did quite alot of shopping while they were at Dusit Thani and stuff. after their event, we missed them coming back but we caught them going out for another event at Siam Discovery. but we were really far so we could only see them go off to their vans.

after which, we made our way to the event at Siam Discovery which was supposed to be a press conference for the WG concert. .oh crap,people and more people. we couldn't see anything so we left and we got information that the JYP family is going to dine at this restaurant upstairs so we went to find out if there's any way we can go eat there too.but as always, it's a closed event with only media and stuff so we gave up and decided to feed ourselves at the pizza place next to it.nice pizza and convenient too.bcos after we finished, we came out and saw barricades being set up and the crowd growing. didnt have an awesome view but we got it on our cams of their phototaking with the manager of the restaurant and their entry to the restaurant.Jaebum was all smiles and Wooyoung lost his way among his members.he had no idea where to stand.haha.after that, we didnt wait for WG (but we saw Mr. JYP.lol) and left for the hotel to freshen up and plan wat to do next.

it was about 8+pm at the time.after showering and all, we decided to go down to the lobby to wait for their return.i dunno if we took our time or somethin because while we were at the lobby, all of us were facing the ecalators leading up from the ground floor.but after like 20mins, the boys appeared from another direction, the lift!haha.we must have missed them coming back again.so we were kinda surprised and more pleased because they were dressed in their own comfortable clothes, going to the concert venue for rehearsal. i think fatigue had really gotten to me or something but i remembered an embarrassing incident that happened in Singapore with Jaebum, so the moment i saw him walking towards us, i bowed an accurate 90degree bow and he did the same to me.Angel was excited to see him at first (Jaebum's her husband in non legal terms and it's totally one sided)but she thought i was crazy.she was like, "what the hell are u doing, Jin?!":X

after all that formal affair, i was determined to see da fashionista and my favourite guy!kim junsu!i was waiting for him to come and i see him busy wearing his earphones.woots!i hurried next to him and asked if he could sign his mini board(we made one for each member).obviously there was security and there wasn't much time for him to register what i wanted him to do so he nearly took my board.but i needed it for the concert the next day!(and there's khun's name behind it:X) so i held on to it and he was already pushed away.so he just gave an apologetic gesture and that was it.next was wooyoung(he was the last person again.that boy is probably looking for some screen time on fan cams or something) and he's my sister's favourite boy.haha.she was happily holding his board and when she was waving at him, he was looking intently at it before being pushed away.im so hoping he saw "singapore" written in korean on the board.seriously, the rest of the boys was a blur again.sigh.but we were on a high and left for more shopping and massage.ahhh.the massage.:D
we reached our hotel at about 1.30am and base on experience, we assumed they will probably be back at abt 2-2.30am. so we rested abit and went downstairs at abt 1.50am to wait for them again.sighhh.27th feb 2009 was probably the longest day of my life because without sleep from early morning, it extended to 28th feb 2009, 4am, with us waiting like crazy and there was no news.we had been awake for about 40 hours and we were already best friends with the hotel staff/security by then.we couldnt stay awake anymore, so we gave up at 4am and went back to our rooms to be dead to the world.

if u really wanna know what time they came back and if it's true that WG strained themselves during the rehearsal, i guess it's true bcos i heard WG started rehearsal at 4pm and everyone finished at 4am and probably returned at 4.30am.kinda wasted for us but we gotta be thankful we'd seen quite abit of 2PM.

it was concert day, 28th feb, and we woke at 9am to do some shopping at chaktuchak.that place is a great place to shop and get great stuff at wonderful prices but not an ideal place for people who are zombies. it's a market with little ventilation, awesome weather and LOTS of people. we were walking zombies with the great desire to shop but at such conditions.sigh.so we finished shopping at abt 3.30pm and rushed back to the hotel to place our stuff.Lucky us got caught in a jam and only reached the hotel at close to 4.30pm. the concert was at 5pm.awesome.so we had to get to the concert venue asap and thank God, we reached a little later than 5pm and lots of people were still outside the concert hall.we took our standing places in the mosh pits and seriously, we could see air.maybe screen and air.i remember watching 3/4 of the concert through the screen. we were quite happy when songs like So Hot, Nobody, Irony and other familiar tunes came on from WG. other than that, we were just trying to see what's going on onstage. after that the boys came out and they did 10cheom and Only You(remixed).Junsu's shoulder thrusting motion isnt fab but he's still wonderful.:) Khun was so happy to perform live and solo in his homeland.even though i have no idea wat he's singing but he was crazily cute.the boys even came out to back him up with dance.then, WG and 2PM did Nobody Tango version and i was disappointed with the lighting ahjussi.excuse me, couldn't u shine accurately at the dancing pair?in the end, Wooyoung and Sunye tangoed in the dark for awhile.-.-.the concert wasnt THAT great on the whole but since we aren't number one fans of WG, it was alright.we still enjoyed it.

after knowing that Sunye was trying her best to keep up and do her best while having a fever and was probably feeling horrible, im very impressed and glad that she pulled through.she seemed fine throughout and no one suspected she was sick. poor girl.:(

after the concert we made our way back to the hotel and the anxious us hurried to the Korean restaurant(it's listed as one of the concert sponsors) in our hotel.and the lucky and anxious us had cleverly made reservations the night before thinking that they will probably come back to this restauraunt for their after concert party and it was true! the conversation with the restaurant staff was silly though.

us:superstar come tonight?
them:yes.superstar come tonight.but fully book.
us:oh no,we made reservations for 4 already.
them:oh? (looks at reservation book and points)
them:this one?
us: (satisfied grin) YES.
then we jumped up and down and got laughed at.oh well.

so thinking that we are so gonna get lucky, we went back up, put our things, freshen up and went back down to the restaurant to sit and wait for them to come.our seats were just outside the VIP room.lovely man.and they HAD to pass by our table to get to the rooms unless they can walk through walls.so we ordered our food and waited patiently for screams to indicate that they were coming in. well the food came before the screams and i was actually looking forward to eating AND seeing them.but guess wat.the food sucked.but the meat still looked promising on the grill and when they FINALLY came walking in, Junho was first and he eyed us AND the sizzling meat.next was taekyeon who was singing and walking and eyeing the meat.after which was khun who somehow walked kinda fast and was just looking straight ahead.wooyoung(yes, the last boy) came and the excited us called out to him and he politely greeted us in the Thai way again.and yes, wooyoung was really the last person amongst the boys and i nearly had a heart attack.where's the other 3?!the sucky food wasn't helping my appetite and my hands and feet were cold. angel and i were quite disappointed.where's jaebummie and junsu????:(

then chansung walked in some time after the 4 boys did. and khunnie's family was sitting at the table next to us.in order to be discreet we had to converse in whatever dialects we knew bcos english and chinese were out.(His sisters definitely understand eng and he's got some chinese background, so yeah.) then the boys came back out and they were all greeting Khunnie's family. so they had their backs to us and they left soon after. the waitress also came and told us they are closing and asking if there's any last orders. i totally lost my appetite bcos i hadnt seen Junsu and angel hadnt seen jaebum yet.oh my. we were really going to settle the bill when the waitress told us about american express cards having a 10% discount. my lovely sister didnt bring that card down with her so she was saying she has to go up and take it. i for one, was lacking the energy to move, volunteered to accompany her to our rooms. i seriously just felt like going.

so we took the card and was making our way down. fyi, the boys were staying on the 12th floor and so, seeing "12" pausing on the elevator screen and hearing "ding!" excited us quite easily. and that was exactly wat happened. our elevator stopped at 12 and the door opened.i wasnt hoping for anything though.i was still thinking where Junsu was.so my sister popped her head out to see if there's anyone and she gestured to someone outside, if they are coming in. as soon as she stepped back into the lift, she mouthed, Junsu. my jaw nearly dropped. this guy who is their staff walked in first and Junsu, dressed in black tshirt, jeans, colourful airforce ones and a black hat walked in.he had his back to us.firstly, my head went numb with excitement and secondly, i was wondering what he's doing. that boy started to get kinda excited talking to his staff about his injury (good to know abt his injury firsthand though.haha). he went as far as to demonstrate how he got injured by doing this dance move right there in the lift with 2 very strange strangers looking on.as soon as he was done complaining, he leaned on one of the walls, faced the lift doors and started to pound his back like an old person. during that one second of silence in the lift, my sister asked me in chinese, "aren't u gonna call him?"(according to her, she wanted to test my guts.thanks sista.) so i said, Junsu sshi, very politely. mr. fashionista realised he had been performing in front of 2 fans and quickly bowed towards us. my sister had her hand reached out and he took it. then i reached out my hand too and he also shook it. nice boy.:)
and the lift doors opened and his staff and him walked out first.there were fans waiting at the lobby and we were walking so close behind and we heard one girl said, "oh!junsu!" and that's it.everyone came toward him.i think he really thought that he could walk through without anyone noticing him.-.-
for once, i realised how scary girls can look.he ducked behind his staff and only got to shake the first girl's hand.bcos everyone shoved their hands and cameras in his face and they were ALL trying to grab him. the poor boy ducked for his life. since we were all heading in the same direction, my sister and i volunteerily protected him.haha.those girls were kinda pushing us as well, so we were screaming "excuse ME!"s and pushing them off all the way.now i noe it's not easy being staff.
we entered the restaurant and i still had wobbly hands and legs. and i mouthed to angel, JUNSU. she didnt get it until she saw him walking in.he continued complaining about his injury to the people he knew standing there and realised that his seat is inside. so he walked past our table and bowed to us.really nice boy.:)
so we paid our bill and left the restaurant.apparently, the other boys had already gone to the bar at the groundfloor  where the after party continued. like 15 mins later, Junsu came out from the restaurant and was going to the bar too.he saw us and bowed to us again. such a sweet nice boy.:)
after some 15 mins, the WG girls made their way down to the bar too.they looked tired, esp Yoobin and Sunye. bcos Yoobin went back like 20mins after staying at the bar.the party at the bar was a closed event so we actually resigned to having to wait at the lobby again.then suddenly, i had this idea of standing near the lift so that we can get to see them when they return to their rooms and are waiting for the lift too!awesome idea.so when we heard screams from downstairs, we pretended that we were going to take the lift and stood at the lift lobby. we were so expecting 2pm minus Jaebum.but guess who came?
Jaebum himself!pleasant surprise really. :D
apparently he went out on his own and skipped dinner at the restaurant.probably met a fren on his own? i actually asked angel, so Jessica came to bangkok too?i got strangled.:X
anyway, he came to the lift lobby with fans crowding behind and security keeping them at bay.smarty us had him to ourselves (before fans sneaked under  the armpits of the security) and my sister asked him a very general question."have u had your dinner?" he politely replied, "yes, i have." den she extended her hand again and he bowed and shook it. subsequently, the 3 of us did the same thing.i finally shook jaebum's hand!:D angel forgot about the Jessica question and stayed on cloud 9. Luckily.:X

so we stuck to lingering at the lift lobby but obviously our cover got blown off.bleh.but just as we were trying our best to keep our butts at the lift lobby, wooyoung came!this time he wasnt the last boy.he was alone.haha.the security were so desperate in protecting him that they themselves pushed him onto one of the lift doors.
(i wonder wat would have happened if the door opened abruptly and he fell in.he would have quality screentime on fan cams.except they weren't allowed)
my poor sister was desperate to shake his hand so she stuck her hand somewhere infront of him but there so many security hands that he lost it.i was also trying to join in the fun by sticking my hand at his shoulder where he could see but security got more desperate and wooyoung knocked his shoulder on the lift door.i felt kinda sorry then.미안해!so while he was cornered by fans and security, people were shouting sutff at him in different languages like thai, eng and korean. he didnt reply and just kept bowing and i heard distorted korean which was quite funny.like, see u in korea! and let's meet again and lots of OPPA!!!!!!!!!!!!i decided to join in too and said "sleep well" in korean. wooyoung stuck his head out from his squashed up corner to hear where it came from and turned toward us to answer me, "yeh".i was surprised and really happy.
(if my mom knows about this, she will probably say, "i pay so much to see u through ur korean classes and u go to thailand to tell some guy to sleep well?great.")
so wooyoung went up quite safely and he was the last person we saw at the lift lobby. i guess the security couldnt fight us so they made everyone walk directly from the bar to the ground floor lift.so that ended our concert day.i was really happy.:D

We met JYP at the lift lobby and we shook hands with him. it was really becos he was walking by.in fact he was with 2pm a few times and we failed to notice him. sorry boss, it's ur boys we wanna see.Jasmine thought he looked like someone/something that didnt evolved completely.if u know wat i mean.heh.

come sunday and we heard news that 2pm will probably go shopping. there's this shopping centre linked to our hotel called MBK.it's not any highend shopping centre but it sells lots of stuff.people were saying that they will shop at MBK but i thought they would probably go to Siam area where all the more expensive stuff are. so we woke up early to do our shopping first and as soon as we heard that  they are out and having lunch somewhere, we came back to the hotel. our Thai fren got information that Junho is shopping at MBK so we rushed there as well, hoping to see the other boys too. when we got there, he was happily looking at some berms. well, we are not number fans of his so we decided to look for the other people in the area.but in the end, we met Junho at the first floor and decided to follow him in case he meets one of his bros.
true enough, Junsu came out from somewhere looking very happy to see Junho and eating an ice cream cone. i was very happy to see Junsu too!haha.so they made their way through some departmental store with a growing number of fans tagging along. the group of fans was attracting more fans so it was quite terrorising. esp when they crossed to Siam discovery to look at some surf brands. there was security and one particular guy was getting on my nerves really.

anyway, they entered a ripcurl shop and smarty us entered by the main door of the shop before anyone stopped us.we were really browsing because we are really keen on surfer brands and enter Junsu and Junho where they saw this tshirt they really liked.it was a buy 2 get one free thing so they spent quite some time picking out what they wanted and communicating with the sales people. Junsu was so engrossed in looking at the racks and racks of clothes that when his korean staff called him, he totally ignored them.
staff: Junsu!come here!
no response....
staff: Junsu!are u there?!
no response....
Junho: Junsu YAH!
no response....(i walked over to the rack of clothes he was looking at and see him totally into wat he's looking at...-.-)
staff: KIM JUNSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Junsu: orh!yeh! yeh!
like finally....he does things in totality.
(according to angel, i was being a moron by following Junsu wherever he went in the shop.i didnt realise it until i thought back, okay.i was always somewhere near him, looking at his back.im sorry.it was to the extent that the annoying security asked one of the Thai staff if im korean and if im with them.she smiled at me and told him no.sighhh.)
so they got their purchases and left the shop. then they continued to other shops.this time security got tighter and no one was allowed in. so smarty us decided to look at the shops down the row and predicted the ones they will fancy and enter. we saw volcom/stussy/globe and automatically went in. sure enough, they come walking in and it was quite weird bcos the shop is so quiet and it was getting akward always being somewhere near them. smart angel stood near junho and discreetly stuck out her hand. after walking by her once and back, he saw it and shook it. silly me had my eyes glued on Junsu and i think i was being his shadow again.sigh.this is embarrassing.i regretted not shaking junho's hand since he walked by me so many times.sigh.
so they left Siam discovery and walked abit more around Siam center and discovery to find their way back to MBK.Junsu was holding his black sony camera that always appears in his camwhoring pics.and he attempted to sit on some railing on the bridge we were crossing to take a picture. he really has the mental age of a 7 yr old.lol.anyway, we finally reached MBK, losing some fans on the way and they went up to the level which sells fake street brands.haha.Junho was totally being a tourist and enjoying his shopping cos he entered many small shops and starting browsing. and they decided to split up and luckily they did, bcos the fans really got less.
in the end, only about 10 other girls and our group were following Junsu.i was looking intently at the stuff he was buying.being the fashionista that he is, his taste must be unique to his fashion i guess.he was interested in a pinochio puppet, photo frames that could turn and some gold rings that i'll probably pass bcos they look like they can be found in my grandma's drawer.then he comes to a female accessory shop that sells lots of indie gold bangles.hmmm,wat can i say about them?probably only a fashionista like him will find some use in them.he took his time to choose the bangles and seriously, his english is kinda good.
Junsu: is this for girls?
sales assistant (SA): yes
Junsu: oh okay. (puts bangle down but still browsing.)
Lady boss: hey mister!u can also! (speaks more in thai.)
Thai staff translated whatever the lady boss spoke in thai to him.
Junsu:she's talking about me?haha.okay...
(starts picking out the ones he wants.like 2 of them and gives them to SA.then thinks twice.)
Junsu:hold on hold on hold on....
(den picks a different one and gives to SA.)
Junsu:I'll just take this one.
SA:huh?u buy 3, i give u discount.cheap!
Junsu:huh?no, ill just get this one,not the other 2.
SA:nono, i can give u discount.very cheap.
Junsu:nono, i only want this one.
SA is like, OKAY FINE.she even attempted to take a picture of him with her phone but got stopped.haha.

this korean staff then tried to tell her thai counterpart that she wanna buy pants that are loose and comfortable, suitable for massage sessions.well, she said everything in korean and her colleague didnt understand.so she told Junsu and he sorta explained it in english.i heard alot of accent but couldnt really hear his content.until the korean lady found some potential ones and rushed to them but found them not so right.so Junsu tried explaining to the SA in eng too.he actually said, u noe?BIG PANTS.his korean staff is not supermodel material by the way.she is on the big side and he earned a huge smack from her.WHAT?!big pants?!lol.hilarious.
in the end she got her "big pants" which were 3/4 fisherman pants actually.haha.and while Junsu was waiting for her to buy, i saw some girls approach Junsu with pictures for him to sign.but they got rejected bcos of security.i decided to try my luck and approached him too.the moment i got near him, security said no and i even asked him in korean, if he could sign his board.he looked at it briefly and said sorry.so yeah.no signature from him.
then after walking abit more, they decided to get a drink at starbucks.they sat down with their drinks and i decided i wanted to get him a present so my sister picked one hat out that looked to be his style.we bought it at lightning speed and went back to starbucks.i even wrote my name on the inside of the cap.i think i have never written Singapore in korean so many times in a row.haha.
i got really nervous and positioned myself at the entrance of starbucks when they got up to leave.phew.i was so glad i gave it to him.i spoke to him korean, telling him that this is a present for him and to please accept it.he seemed surprised and thanked me.if i didnt pass it to him, ill probably kill myself bcos i could have done it so many times throughout while following him around.phew. as expected he met up with Junho and Junho was wearing the bathing ape tshirt that he had just bought.cute.then they returned to the hotel and that was the end of the shopping spree with Junsu and Junho.haha.
because they had a flight to catch at 11.45pm, they all checked out pretty quick at around 5pm to go for massage and dinner.everyone left altogether including WG. that was also the last of 2pm that we saw with their backpacks and all.

Taek was wearing this cap with eyes and teeth printed on it and obviously he bought it at MBK.he liked it so much he wore it to the US and chansung took turns to wear it.lol.but we didnt see taek and jaebum at MBK...sigh.in between we heard news that Wooyoung is at the zoo with khun while jaebum, taek and chansung were having lunch at 4th avenue and was shopping somewhere.we were so hoping they will pop by and join Junsu and Junho or somethng.sigh. and just to let anyone know, Junsu was wearing this bracelet with his name on it.it's a leather bracelet with silver alphabets that formed his name.i remembered he got it from a sporean fan.he has it on!:)
another thing is that we eavesdropped on khun's family during dinner the night before and one staff was telling khun's younger sister to worry about khun instead of wooyoung and that wooyoung wants to go the zoo to see some tigers.-.- so most probably she tagged along.haha, such a cute fangirl of wooyoung.(apparently, from my mom, the bkk zoo is very fascinating and famous and that the tigers are one of the highlight.she seems to adore the tigers.oh well.my mom and wooyoung has the same interest as tourists.) 

so that was the end of my fan account. i dunno how u actually pulled through to reach this end of the entry but congrats!u finished it! haha. im glad i wrote it down, most imptly so i that i know i have it written down somewhere.and please forgive my obsession with Junsu.i dunno where all my luck with him came from but im very happy im this lucky.:)
and im back to mugging for exams.talk about anti climax.hah.
